My cat is afraid of everything too! And he loves walks!!!! It took some time but he now begs for walks! I recommend taking a scardy cat somewhere very quiet (no dogs, no kids, no people, no cars, no other cats, basically nothing scary) for their first proper walk ^-^ Good luck!

When my beautiful cat I moved from a house with a garden into an apartment building I tried to introduce to a harness/lead. After many attempts I would refer to her “lead” as the “drag” and our “walks” as a “crouch scurry session”. She and I tried so many times, but in the end it was stressing her out and I just wanted her to be happy so we stopped and eventually she was happy doing zoomies in the carpeted hallway outside our apartment door. She also got to meet and love our neighbours so I thought that was a win.❤

One thing I think a lot of people don't understand is that you can't really walk a cat like you walk most dogs. You kind of have to let the cat be the leader to an extent. Obviously you don't wanna let them lead you somewhere dangerous but for the most part you gotta go at their pace. Especially when they first start going for walks.
